CPAN Chess League Season 2 commenced on the 14th April 2017. The defending champion Lekki Team captained by Nathan Flow didn’t participate in this edition. Pedachess Team and Delta Creed didn’t participate as well in this edition.
A team comprise of an unlimited number of players but 6 players represents each team per round which include a female player and an under 16 year old player.

Round 1 Report
Table 1 saw Outliers captained by Adewale Adelaja against the Evergreen captained by Dasaolu Rotimi sign a peace treaty 3-3. The first upset was Akinwamide
Oluwadamilare (1994) of Outliers defeating FM Erahbor David (2081) of Evergreen team on board 1 in a spectaclar fashion. The game is shown below.

The battle of the round was between Facility Control and Team Saxx. CM Dieyi Roland (2138) lost to Lapite Oluwadutorimi of Team Saxx while FM Balogun Oluwafemi (2241)
accomplished his revenge mission against IM Adu Oladapo (2275). The latter defeated him last year at the CPAN League Season 1.

An interesting game of note is Oluwatobiloba Job (under 16), holding CM Akinseye Abiola (2200) in a seeming locked position! Akinseye who was the best player of 2016
CPAN League Season 1 found a way to penetrate the young man’s defense and brought home the point for his team. In the end, it was also a peace treaty that was signed.

The round saw Next generation topping the table. Their Captain Mr. Giwa Oladotun (TeamISeeYou) was so happy and commented on cpan page “Team am managing (next
generating) after round 1 at the top ? of the table. Hoping the league shld end this way — feeling confident.” Lets hope so!

This round was on the Saturday 15th April 2017. All teams came for war! No peace treaty was signed.
Facility Control took total control of Junior Terminators
Next Generation lost to Chess sensation, Evergreen team defeated Blue Ocean with a narrow one point margin. Deciphers lost to Outliers. Unrated Eloka Egwuagwu defeated
Apemiye Austin (2014) of Deciphers in this round!

Blue Ocean Signed a peace treaty with Deciphers but not without Ajele Rotimi (2155) defeating FM Onovughe Ochuko. While Apemiye Austin (2014) defeated Fabeyo Frederick (1954).
Next Generation lost to Evergreen. Ozegbe Precious defeated Assa Oluwaseun, Ogunsanya Tobiloba had a draw against Agusto Olaonipekun while Maxwell Titus held Rabiu
Olabisi to a draw.
Facilty Control defeated Chess Sensation. Abimbola Kalesanwo defeated Abdulrahman Abdulraheem in thier match.
Team Saxx defeated Junior Terminators but Sodiq Ademola got a draw from Damilola Ojo and Okeke Isaac also got a draw against Ajayi Ayokanmi.
